About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as key relationship manager for all consortiums in East Africa
- Negotiate deals, renewals, and strategic partnerships
- Engage Vice Chancellors, Library Directors, Research Heads and Procurement Teams
- Achieve minimum 20% year-on-year revenue growth
- Drive adoption of blended models and Read & Publish agreements
- Provide market insights and competitive intelligence
- Track account performance and provide regular reports and forecasts
Requirements
- Demonstrable B2B account management or institutional sales experience
- Proven track record in driving revenue growth and closing complex deals
- Ability to travel across East Africa and other African regions
- Exceptional negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in eBooks, journals or academic publishing
- Strong experience with consortiums
- Knowledge of Open Access, Read & Publish models and digital content licensing
