About the role
Responsibilities
- Cultivate relationships with university libraries, research institutions and government bodies
- Serve as key relationship manager for all West African consortiums, negotiating deals and renewals
- Achieve minimum 20% year-on-year revenue growth through new business and upselling
- Drive adoption of blended models and Read & Publish agreements
- Track account performance, pipeline health and forecasts for leadership
Requirements
- Demonstrable B2B account management or publishing sales experience
- Ability to travel across West Africa and other African regions
- Proven track record in revenue growth and closing complex deals
- Strong experience managing consortium accounts
- Exceptional negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in eBooks, journals or academic publishing
- Knowledge of Open Access, Read & Publish models and digital content licensing
