About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the month-end close calendar and deliver closed books on deadline across all entities
- File Corporate Tax and VAT in-house, accurately and on time
- Lead the external audit (Deloitte) end to end
- Manage intercompany balances and reconciliations
- Supervise the Senior Accountant in Dubai and the accounting team in Armenia
- Maintain fixed-asset registers, accruals, and prepayment schedules
- Run the controls framework including segregation of duties and payment-approval routing
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent) with 5+ years experience
- Hands-on experience with UAE Corporate Tax and VAT filing
- Strong month-end close, consolidation, and intercompany accounting skills
- Experience running end-to-end audits
- UAE resident comfortable fronting banks and the FTA
- Daily use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) for drafting and reconciliation
Preferred Qualifications
- Hospitality, real-estate, or property-management sector experience
- Experience with Guesty, ERPNext, or similar PMS/ERP environments
- Experience supervising remote accounting teams
- Arabic language skills for dealing with authorities
