Job description
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounts receivable and accounts payable using bookkeeping software
- Receive and record cash, checks, and vouchers
- Reconcile bank account statements
- Handle payroll, make purchases, and prepare invoices
- Track overdue accounts
- Produce profit and loss statements, financial statements, and balance sheets
- Keep management informed through presentations and reports
- Monitor figures and reports to prevent fraud and inaccuracy
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an accounting or bookkeeping clerk
- High school diploma
- Proficiency in MS Office and popular accounting software
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures, best practices, and terminology
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- High level of integrity and moral character
