About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor and record premium receipts from brokers
- Perform premium cash clearing and reconciliation between underwriting records, broker statements and bank receipts
- Track outstanding premiums and follow up with brokers for timely settlement
- Process premium settlements to participating members and insurers
- Maintain and reconcile Insurance Bank Accounts monthly
- Review monthly and quarterly bordereaux reports for completeness and accuracy
- Support automation of reconciliation processes and finance workflow improvements
- Ensure adherence to IFRS standards, internal policies and DFSA reporting requirements
- Support month-end close and preparation of financial statements and management reports
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in insurance or reinsurance
- Preferably ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA qualification
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills with internal and external parties
- Good PowerPoint and Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of accounting systems, particularly SAP
