Accounts Officer

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage monthly accounting records
• Prepare and complete monthly closing activities
• Perform regular bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations
• Prepare and submit UAE VAT returns
• Manage monthly salary payment activities
• Prepare and process supplier payments
• Monitor outstanding supplier balances
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management reports
• Ensure accounting transactions are recorded in accordance with company policies and UAE regulations
• Identify accounting discrepancies and support corrective actions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
• 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role
• Native Arabic speaker with strong English communication skills
• Strong hands-on experience in UAE accounting practices, VAT, and financial reporting
• Proven experience handling full-cycle accounting
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software (Tally, Zoho Books, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA, or CA is an advantage
• Candidates available to join on short notice preferred
