Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

• Review invoices for appropriate documentation
• Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and on time for approval routing
• Allocate purchases to specific customers, locations and departments
• Prepare invoices for weekly payments and distribute checks or process electronic payments
• Ensure no vendor accounts become past due, researching vendor problems
• Respond to internal and external inquiries on invoice and payment status
• Prepare and file forms 1096 and 1099 annually
• Manage, monitor and record all corporate credit card activity
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings and the annual audit

Requirements

• Associate's degree and at least 2 years of accounts payable experience, or equivalent education and experience
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational, analytical and account reconciliation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with invoice automation or invoice capture systems
