About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and track accounts receivable balances and ledgers
- Follow up with clients by phone and email on outstanding invoices
- Prioritize critical collections affecting business continuity
- Build client relationships and resolve payment issues and disputes
- Apply cash receipts and post payments and credits accurately
- Report accounts receivable status and payment trends to management
Requirements
- 4+ years in accounts receivable, preferably logistics or international trade
- Proven track record of solid collections
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organization
Preferred Qualifications
- International business experience with global payment practices
- Knowledge of logistics and transportation industry practices
- Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, ACA or CPA
