About the role
Responsibilities
- Record short lines and paragraphs in Afrikaans using various tones such as friendly, neutral, or authoritative
- Participate in paired or group script readings with other Afrikaans speakers
- Follow direction and perform retakes for timing, emphasis, and clarity
- Submit clean, well-labeled audio files on schedule
Requirements
- Native-level fluency in Afrikaans
- Proficiency in a second language (non-English preferred)
- Silent recording environment free of background noise, echo, or hum
- Ability to follow briefs and take notes on pronunciation or style
- Access to a stable computer, high-quality microphone, and stable internet connection
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior voiceover, voice acting, or podcasting experience
- Basic audio hygiene skills such as maintaining steady levels and consistent mic distance
