About the role
Responsibilities
- Write original algorithmic problems with clear statements, sound constraints, and intended solutions
- Develop correct solutions in C++ and Python
- Create realistic wrong solutions to test against
- Build and harden test cases using generators, edge cases, and stress tests
- Write checkers and interactors using testlib for problems with multiple valid answers
- Ensure quality by verifying that correct solutions pass and wrong ones fail within time limits
Requirements
- Strong competitive programming background (Codeforces rating or IOI/ICPC/national-olympiad record)
- Proficiency in contest C++ (STL, complexity) and Python
- Ability to explain solution errors and build inputs to break them
- Strong written English (C1+)
Preferred Qualifications
- IOI/ICPC alumni or top competitive programmers
- Experience setting or testing problems for Codeforces, ICPC, or national olympiads
- Experience with testlib (checkers, validators, generators)
- Experience creating data for LLM code benchmarks or RL evaluation datasets
