About the role
Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices against purchase orders, work orders and goods/service receipts
- Verify invoices for VAT compliance, approvals, budget and GL coding
- Prepare weekly vendor payment proposals and process bank transfers
- Perform supplier statement and AP sub-ledger reconciliations
- Prepare month-end accruals, prepayments and AP schedules
- Prepare input VAT reports and support VAT return preparation
- Automate repetitive AP activities and build AP dashboards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field
- 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in the UAE
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and AP controls
- Hands-on ERP/accounting system experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience managing high-volume supplier invoices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Facilities Management, construction or large service organizations
- NetSuite experience
- Knowledge of Power Query, Power Automate or AP automation tools
