API Web Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance RESTful APIs that meet both internal and external client needs
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other stakeholders to integrate APIs with user-facing elements
• Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of APIs through thorough testing and documentation
• Monitor and optimize API performance through analytics and user feedback
• Participate in the architecture process and contribute to the evolution of the technology stack
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in API applications, managing bug fixes and updates

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in API development with a focus on RESTful services
• Proficiency in Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java
• Strong understanding of API design principles, security, and versioning
• Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB)
• Ability to work in an Agile environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger or Postman
