Responsibilities
- Foster a strong foundation in Arabic language and culture for native Arabic-speaking students or those with native-level proficiency
- Design, implement, and assess engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with US educational standards
- Differentiate instruction to cater to varying student abilities and learning styles
- Utilize educational technology to enrich the learning experience
- Maintain excellent classroom management to promote a positive learning environment
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership
- Ensure full compliance with Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language, Arabic Literature, or Education with an Arabic specialization
- Valid teaching certification/license from a US state or equivalent international qualification recognized in the UAE
- Native or near-native fluency in Arabic (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in English for communication within an international environment
- Minimum of 2-3 years of full-time teaching experience in Arabic A for Cycle 1 (KG1 - Grade 5)
- Knowledge of American Common Core State Standards (CCSS) or similar US national standards
- Eligibility to obtain an ADEK Professional Educator License
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience teaching within an American curriculum framework
- Prior experience in an international school setting within the UAE or Gulf region
