Assistant Financial Analyst – Supply Chain & Logistics

Responsibilities

• Control capital expenditures and ensure accurate capitalization of assets
• Analyze intercompany, head office expenses and overheads against budget
• Allocate common expenses to cost centers and control common accounts
• Assist in budgets, business plans and forecasts, collecting and verifying data
• Maintain accruals for services and compile balance sheet schedules
• Verify sales staff commissions against agreed criteria
• Prepare sales and ad hoc reports for management
• Liaise with operations on Forex needs and report to treasury
• Liaise with banks on guarantees and letters of credit
• Prepare monthly and forthcoming cash flow statements
• Facilitate internal and external audits and implement corrective actions
• Prepare monthly management reports
• Conduct periodic counts of fixed assets and trading inventory

Requirements

• Commerce graduate with CA Inter or semi-qualified status
• 5 to 7 years in an accounting function
• International accounting practice in a computerized environment
• PC literate with good Excel skills and ERP exposure
• Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards
• Strong analytical, numerical and research skills
• Good organizational and planning abilities, able to work under pressure
