Assistant General Counsel @ Canals AI

Responsibilities

• Own the commercial contracts function end-to-end
• Advise across all business verticals
• Build legal processes and playbooks to enable scaling
• Draft and negotiate complex enterprise SaaS and AI agreements
• Manage privacy compliance and data governance
• Serve as an embedded legal partner to Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Finance

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership
• Experience in Am Law 100 firm in transactional or commercial practice
• Pragmatic approach to risk and strong judgment
• Ability to communicate legal concepts in clear, approachable language

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-growth tech environments
• Experience with SaaS/AI business models
• Experience with data privacy frameworks
