Assistant Manager - Catering & Banquets

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Catering & Banquet department in accordance with established standards and policies
• Oversee banquet and event planning activities including BEOs, forecasts, setup, and execution
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders for seamless event delivery
• Maintain departmental inventory, equipment, and hygiene standards
• Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve complaints promptly
• Manage workforce planning, scheduling, and staffing levels
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for team members
• Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations on industry trends

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' banquet experience in five-star luxury hotel operations
• Strong product knowledge of Western and Asian cuisines, wines, and cocktails
• Secondary school diploma or higher; bachelor's degree in hospitality management preferred
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional language proficiency is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office and POS software
• Excellent leadership and supervisory abilities
• Ability to work shifts and remain flexible according to business demand
