Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional and personalized service to guests aligned with Fairmont’s Heartist philosophy
• Welcome guests, anticipate needs, and handle feedback professionally
• Maintain consistent service standards and monitor guest satisfaction
• Assist the Restaurant Manager with daily buffet operations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, cleanliness, and service setup
• Monitor buffet presentation, food replenishment, and hygiene standards
• Coordinate with the Culinary team for timely food replenishment
• Supervise, coach, and motivate restaurant colleagues
• Conduct daily briefings and manage staffing allocations
• Support training, development, and performance management of team members
• Assist in achieving financial goals, revenue targets, and cost control
• Monitor inventory levels and minimize wastage
• Ensure proper handling of billing, cash, and POS operations
• Maintain compliance with hotel policies, safety regulations, and brand standards

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an assistant managerial role within a luxury hotel or high-volume restaurant
• Strong knowledge of buffet operations and international dining concepts
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of Food & Beverage operations and guest service standards
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures
• Proficiency in English
