Assistant Pastry Chef

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads and pastries, including doughs, fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards
• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance
• Use baking and measuring tools and equipment safely and appropriately
• Monitor food quality and portion sizes throughout the shift
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching employees
• Ensure compliance with all food safety handling policies and personal hygiene procedures
• Maintain professional appearance and follow company safety and security policies

Requirements

• At least 2 years of related work experience
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects weighing up to 25 pounds
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in environments with sloping or uneven surfaces

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
