About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver undergraduate courses in public relations and strategic communication using innovative, student-focused teaching methodologies
- Lead efforts to update and enhance the public relations curriculum, aligning it with current trends and industry needs
- Conduct and publish advanced research in public relations and strategic communication in top-tier academic journals
- Apply proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies in research and teaching
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research initiatives and pursue external funding opportunities
- Represent the university at national and international academic and professional organizations
- Build partnerships with industry professionals to facilitate student internships and research opportunities
- Mentor and advise students on academic progress, research projects, and career pathways
- Contribute to university governance through committee participation and academic advising
- Engage in outreach initiatives that support the university's mission
Requirements
- PhD in Public Relations, Strategic Communication, or a closely related field
- Strong publication record in reputable academic journals
- Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- At least one year of experience as an Assistant Professor or equivalent teaching role
- Proven ability to implement innovative, student-centered teaching practices
- Proficiency in teaching online (synchronous and asynchronous)
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English
