Assistant Social Media Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of social media strategies and content across key social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels
• Translate creative direction and broader vision into clear, actionable social plans, content ideas and executions
• Take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery, including planning, briefing, coordinating shoots, managing edits, approvals and publishing
• Develop compelling, social-first content that builds audience connection, engagement, and long-term channel growth
• Identify opportunities to continually elevate social channels through new formats, content pillars, recurring content, and platform behaviors
• Stay extremely close to social media culture, influencer behavior, emerging creators, trends, formats, audios, and conversations
• Create clear briefs, references, shot lists and feedback to guide content development and post-production
• Build and manage social content calendars, timelines, and project plans to ensure content is developed and delivered on time
• Monitor content performance and work with relevant teams to understand key learnings and optimize future content

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience within social media, content, creator marketing or a related field
• Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and wider social media culture
• Strong understanding of influencer and creator behavior and how successful creators build audiences and communities
• Experience working across personality-led, creator-led, lifestyle, beauty, wellness or culturally relevant social content is preferred
• Strong creative instincts with the ability to identify what feels current, relevant, and social-first
• Excellent project management, organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and make progress without requiring constant direction
• Strong understanding of short-form content, including hooks, pacing, storytelling, engagement, and audience retention
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to brief creative teams and provide clear, actionable feedback
• Strong understanding of social media performance metrics and how insights can be used to improve future content
