About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform intermediate level clerical accounting duties including analysis and routine calculations
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a combination of both
- Verify completeness and mathematical accuracy of routine accounting documents
- Identify discrepancies and determine alternative courses of action
- Post accounting information and classify transactions to appropriate accounts
- Assemble, analyze, and audit various accounts and perform standard reconciliations
- Develop contacts outside immediate work area to obtain or verify accounting information
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of related work experience
- Or formal, specialized, job-related training with 5+ years related work experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Customer service orientation
- Analytical skills to identify business process problems and develop solutions
- Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping procedures
