About the role
Responsibilities
- Support collection and analysis of energy transition finance data across renewables and infrastructure
- Contribute data and analysis to IRENA flagship publications
- Assist in organising technical meetings, workshops, conferences and capacity building sessions
- Help prepare inputs for presentations and speeches by senior management
- Support other projects and workstreams in the division as required
Requirements
- First-level degree with two years relevant experience, or Master's degree in sustainable finance, climate finance, renewable energy policy or related field
- Sound knowledge of energy transition finance and renewables
- Experience in research, data collection and analysis
- Excellent command of English
- Applicants no more than 32 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financing transactions, financial modeling or development of financial instruments
- Knowledge of another UN official language
Benefits
- Indicative salary USD 36,000 to 54,000 per year plus monthly lump-sum depending on qualifications
