About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver undergraduate courses in Tourism Guidance, Heritage Interpretation, and related areas
- Contribute to the design, review, and continuous enhancement of the Tourism Guidance curriculum
- Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputable, peer-reviewed academic journals
- Apply qualitative and quantitative research methodologies in teaching and research
- Seek external research funding and contribute to funded research projects
- Establish partnerships with tourism authorities, cultural institutions, and industry stakeholders
- Supervise and mentor students in academic advising and research projects
- Participate in college and university governance through committee work
Requirements
- PhD in Tourism Studies, Tourism Guidance, or a closely related discipline
- Strong record of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- At least one year of university-level teaching experience (for Assistant Professor)
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills
