About the role
Responsibilities
- Investigate potential sanctions alerts as Level 1/Level 2 reviewer
- Make decisions to clear or block transactions based on investigations
- Decide whether to close name screening alerts as false or true match
- Document reviews and dispositions, operate within SLAs
- Prepare and submit sanctions process reports to the Head of Sanctions
- Support investigations based on correspondent bank and regulatory inquiries
- Escalate significant sanctions matters to Sanctions Management
Requirements
- Good understanding of UN, EU, UK and US (OFAC) sanctions regulations
- Experience reviewing payments, trade transactions and name screening
- Strong written communication and report writing skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluent English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using compliance screening systems
- Arabic language ability
