Responsibilities

• Work with the CUO, Product/Engineering, Data Science, Actuarial, and Claims teams to build Indigo’s Facilities offering, including UW Guidelines and Appetite Guides
• Support the production, selection, pricing, control, and servicing of insurance policies using Indigo’s data-driven model
• Analyze, evaluate, and make underwriting decisions in line with guidelines
• Manage and evaluate new business submissions, renewals, and policy change requests
• Review contract wordings and act as a signatory of insurance contracts
• Review, evaluate, and report on loss activity
• Ensure compliance with relevant state statutory regulations
• Collaborate with business development to manage relationships with agents and brokers

Requirements

• 5+ years as a Sr. Underwriter in Facilities/Medical Professional Liability Insurance
• 10+ years of total experience in Underwriting
• Strong familiarity with Facility types, rating methodologies, and high-risk indicators
• Deep understanding of the Facilities segment, top carriers, and larger brokers
• Ability to operate with urgency and meet processing deadlines
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements
