About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts, frameworks, and test suites
- Analyze requirements and technical specifications to identify automation opportunities
- Create and execute automated tests for functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured
- Identify, reproduce, and track software defects
- Maintain clear documentation for automation frameworks and test cases
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to resolve quality issues
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Automation QA Engineer or similar role
- Hands-on experience with at least one major automation framework (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
- Strong programming or scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
- Experience with API testing and RESTful services
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems like Git
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing web applications, mobile applications, or other software products
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities
