AVP, Shariah Advisory - Consumer Banking, ISSC Secretariat, Research & Training

Responsibilities

• Support Shariah advisory services for Islamic Consumer Banking products and services
• Review agreements, documents, process flows and marketing materials for Shariah compliance
• Coordinate ISSC secretariat activities, meeting logistics, minutes and resolutions
• Conduct Shariah research and prepare papers for the ISSC and Head of Internal Shariah Control
• Support Shariah training and awareness programmes across the Bank
• Assist in maintaining the Shariah Governance Framework and monitoring regulatory changes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Shariah, Islamic Finance, Islamic Banking, Business, Law or related field
• 4-6 years in Shariah advisory, compliance, research, ISSC secretariat or Islamic banking
• Understanding of AAOIFI Shariah Standards and CBUAE Shariah Governance Framework
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Good written and verbal English

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualification in Islamic Banking, Islamic Finance or Shariah Governance
• Experience supporting training, awareness or committee administration
• Arabic language skills
