Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve system architecture for the enterprise B2B commerce platform "Plain"
• Enhance system reliability, performance, and operational automation
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and improve engineering productivity
• Collaborate across teams to deliver optimal UX for enterprise clients and end users

Requirements

• Experience implementing web application frameworks
• Experience developing and operating mid-scale or larger products
• Experience with technical decision-making and codebase improvements
• Team development experience using Git or similar version control systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Ruby on Rails web application development experience
• Practical test automation experience with RSpec or MiniTest
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with container virtualization technologies
• AWS usage experience
• Performance tuning experience
• Experience designing architecture for mid-scale or larger applications
