Backend Engineer

Description Superside is looking for a Backend Engineer to help us build a product that strongly impacts the creative industry. We're the leading AI-powered creative service company, delivering creative services to some of the largest companies in the US. We’re building a collaboration platform that enables our globally distributed team members and customers to work together remotely. We enable seamless creative project management thanks to features like briefing, staffing, design feedback, and asset delivery. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll get to collaborate with people across different departments, building technology and processes that will directly impact the product and the business.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and ship product features like chat, staffing, project management, design collaboration, integrations, and briefing in a secure and scalable way.
• Be part of an empowered product team where you are expected to engage deeply with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to create amazing customer experiences.
• Create and contribute to technical specs and testing/rollout plans.
• Improve application performance by implementing best practices in coding and database management.
• Actively participate in important technical discussions, solving issues with innovative thinking instead of passively executing.
• Learn and grow technically by working closely with other engineers.

Requirements

• Experience with modern web development.
• 3+ years of experience in working with Kotlin and Spring or related backend frameworks.
• Experience with unit, functional, and end-to-end testing.
• Hard-working team player and focused individual contributor.
• Critical thinking skills and eagerness to solve challenging problems creatively and effectively.
• Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
• Self-motivated, independent, and autonomous attitude.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
