Backend Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Python and Django
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for customer-facing applications and internal tools
• Implement robust data models and database schemas
• Write clean, testable code with comprehensive unit and integration tests
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features
• Optimize application performance and ensure high availability
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
• Monitor and maintain production systems for reliability and security

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience with Python
• Strong proficiency in Django or other Python API frameworks like FastAPI or Flask
• Experience with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and ORM frameworks
• Knowledge of API design principles and microservices architecture
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
• Solid understanding of version control with Git
• Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest or unittest
• Understanding of security best practices and data protection
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or B2B organizations
