[Banking/Boletos] Software Engineering Manager I

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary squad of 4 to 6 developers
• Stay close to code and participate in technical design and code reviews
• Oversee boletos operations: PCR schedules, file and message processing, incident handling
• Drive regulatory changes from Núclea and Banco Central with product and compliance
• Manage roadmap, backlog, Scrum/Kanban rituals, OKRs and metrics
• Manage team growth: 1:1s, PDI, performance reviews, recruiting

Requirements

• Technical leadership experience with agile methodologies
• Backend development experience with Go and/or Elixir
• RESTful APIs and HTTP protocol knowledge
• Messaging and asynchronous processing (Kafka, batch file processing)
• Solid knowledge of algorithms, data structures, SOLID, Clean Code, design patterns
• Testing: unit, integration, stress and mutation
• Relational and non-relational databases, caching, distributed processing
• DevOps practices: CI/CD, automation
• Docker, Kubernetes and cloud

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Go, Elixir or other modern backend languages
• Financial sector project experience
• Knowledge of Brazilian boleto ecosystem: DDA/PCR, CNAB, CMP, SILOC
• Integrations via IBM MQ, Connect:Direct or RSFN
• Experience with critical, highly available applications
