Bilingual Patient Care Coordination Virtual Assistant

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound patient phone calls in both English and Spanish
• Coordinate patient intake, appointment scheduling, and follow-up instructions
• Coordinate laboratory orders, diagnostic testing, and preoperative medical clearance processes
• Prepare physician notes, supporting documentation, and fax medical records
• Maintain accurate patient records and update appointment statuses within practice systems
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and partner organizations
• Monitor and respond to email communications promptly
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies at all times

Requirements

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required
• Previous healthcare or medical office experience
• HIPAA certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Experience with patient phone calls and care coordination
• Strong computer, documentation, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and medical scheduling software
• Ability to work 40 hours per week from 9 AM to 5 PM EST

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience in a fast-paced clinical support environment
