Billing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Resolve insurance claim denials and work with payers to ensure timely, accurate reimbursement
• Investigate denials via insurance portals and resubmit clean claims or draft appeals
• Contact patients and families to update insurance, set up payment plans, and answer billing questions
• Process credit card payments, insurance and patient refunds, and patient responsibility on invoices
• Partner with clinicians and internal teams to resolve billing issues

Requirements

• 2-4 years of healthcare billing experience with insurance companies and EHR/PM systems
• 1-3 years of customer service experience
• Knowledge of medical billing, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and insurance terminology
• Strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• Billing experience in behavioral health or pediatric healthcare
