Billing Systems Architect

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical owner of the BillingPlatform environment, configuring catalogs, price cards, and usage rating rules
• Manage ongoing platform health, including system updates and troubleshooting
• Utilize SQL for data validation, rating engine auditing, and operational reporting
• Maintain and optimize API-driven integrations with CRMs, ERPs, and payment gateways
• Partner with Accounting to ensure compliance with ASC 606 and IFRS 15 standards
• Gather technical requirements from Finance, Sales Ops, and Product teams
• Manage billing data continuity and subscription migrations

Requirements

• Proven experience configuring enterprise Quote-to-Cash or billing platforms (e.g., Zuora, Salesforce Revenue Cloud, NetSuite Billing)
• Strong proficiency with SQL for querying and auditing billing data
• Solid grasp of REST APIs, webhooks, and ETL workflows
• Experience supporting complex SaaS or infrastructure pricing models
• Practical understanding of revenue recognition fundamentals (ASC 606 / IFRS 15)
• Ability to bridge technical language and financial business logic

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DigitalRoute mediation software or Kafka event-stream data intake
• Previous exposure to cloud infrastructure, PaaS, or developer-platform usage metrics
• Background supporting system migrations from implementation partners into internal teams
