About the role
Responsibilities
- Commission, edit, and write 2-3 blog posts per month
- Proofread and edit draft posts to ensure quality and style alignment
- Collaborate with the Assistant Editor on quarterly content plans
- Provide copy for social media promotion and actively promote blog posts
- Optionally conduct author interviews for YouTube and podcast channels
Requirements
- Expertise in ecology and evolutionary biology, particularly animal ecology
- Excellent written English and clear communication
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to network and identify content gaps
- Experience with scientific blogging, social media, or podcasting is desirable
