BMC Helix Administrator

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Helix Core server environments, managing users, repositories, and permissions
• Implement and optimize workflows for code branching, merging, and release management
• Monitor system performance and conduct health checks to ensure high availability
• Collaborate with development teams on version control and code integration best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Helix
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning for Helix repositories
• Document processes, configurations, and system changes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience as a Helix administrator or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of the Helix Core platform and its administrative functions
• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical staff

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and development lifecycles
• Familiarity with Git or SVN
• Strong communication skills and ability to train others
