Borrower Advocate

Responsibilities

• Proactively communicate with a pipeline of borrowers on loan terms and servicing processes
• Monitor project progress and support borrowers through delays or budget overruns
• Investigate and resolve post-closing borrower inquiries and disputes
• Help borrowers understand statements, payment schedules and portal access
• Reach out to at-risk borrowers to prevent loan default
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive borrower experience
• Document all customer interactions in the system of record

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 1 year of mortgage-related collection, customer service or sales experience
• Knowledge of the mortgage life cycle and processing steps
• Ability to own customer issues through resolution
• Excel or spreadsheet and Microsoft Office skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership or team-lead experience
• Project management experience
• Knowledge of tax, escrow analysis, mortgage and hazard insurance
