Business Analyst (Consumer Lending)

Responsibilities

• Write SQL to extract and validate data from lending core, payment, CRM, and behavioural event sources
• Build and maintain metric trees to decompose headline KPIs into operational drivers
• Investigate performance anomalies and prove drivers (mix, policy, product change, etc.)
• Design and maintain actionable dashboards and recurring reporting for leadership
• Convert analysis into quantified proposals including expected impact in AED and risk trade-offs
• Size opportunities and validate them via champion/challenger A/B tests
• Drive proposals through implementation with Product, Risk, Engineering, and Operations
• Build unit economics models for lending products (interest income, cost of funds, ECL, etc.)
• Support pricing, limit strategy, and portfolio mix decisions with sensitivity analysis
• Own reconciliation logic between lending management systems, payment providers, and finance ledgers
• Map end-to-end lending processes to identify cost, time, or leakage accumulation

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in consumer lending or consumer credit (Bank, BNPL, or digital lender)
• Strong, independent SQL capability for routine data extraction and validation
• Demonstrated understanding of consumer lending operational flows (underwriting, disbursement, collections)
• Working command of lending product P&L structure
• Practical experience with loan accounting treatment and payment reconciliation
• Track record of originating proposals that produced measurable business results
• Exceptional structured thinking and ability to decompose ambiguous business questions
• Strong written and verbal communication in English for executive presentations
