Business Development Manager - Brand Acquisition - Retail

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and source international luxury and emerging brands aligned with strategic direction
• Conduct brand assessments and build a pipeline of acquisition opportunities
• Develop detailed business cases, financial assessments, and commercial recommendations for senior management
• Lead commercial negotiations regarding distribution, exclusivity, margins, and contracts
• Monitor fashion trends and competitor activity to identify market gaps
• Manage the end-to-end acquisition process from initial contact through to onboarding and launch
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Retail, Marketing, Finance, and Legal
• Create compelling pitch decks and presentations for senior stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury retail brand acquisition or business development
• Proven track record of acquiring international or emerging luxury fashion brands
• Strong understanding of luxury distribution models, pricing, and commercial dynamics
• Proficiency in financial modelling and commercial analysis
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, or Marketing preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• PMO or project governance experience
• Strong existing network within the international fashion and luxury brand landscape
