About the role
Responsibilities
- Own merchant-acquisition initiatives end-to-end from research to close
- Map local service-provider landscapes and prioritize target categories
- Build target lists and conduct self-sourced outreach via phone, email, and in-person visits
- Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline in a CRM or spreadsheet
- Analyze outreach and conversion data to identify successful strategies
- Draft outreach scripts, pitch decks, and partnership proposals
- Report weekly on outreach metrics and deliver a final strategic recommendation to leadership
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an MBA or equivalent graduate business program
- Prior experience in consulting, sales, BD, or a startup environment
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in spreadsheets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cold-calling and negotiation
- High tolerance for ambiguity and rejection
