Business Executive – Sub-Saharan Africa

Responsibilities

• Map and monitor academic institutions to identify partnership and sales opportunities across Sub-Saharan Africa
• Build and maintain a database of key decision-makers and stakeholders
• Track market developments and competitor activity in the region
• Analyse higher education landscape, budgets and procurement processes
• Keep the sales pipeline accurate in CRM and produce regular sales reports
• Respond to RFPs and generate customised quotes
• Create presentations, case studies and value propositions for institutions
• Support outreach activities with the Marketing and Editorial team

Requirements

• Some experience in sales operations or direct sales
• Strong organisational and pipeline management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Effective account management and relationship-building skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior publishing experience
• Understanding of the higher education, research or library environment
• Previous CRM experience
