Business Intelligence Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions
• Build and optimize ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and SQL
• Automate data collection, transformation, validation, and distribution processes
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Investigate production issues and perform root cause analysis
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior BI engineers
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards in an enterprise environment
• 2+ years of experience with relational databases and advanced T-SQL development
• 2+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, or equivalent cloud data technologies
• 2+ years of experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT solutions
• Strong proficiency in SQL development and complex query optimization
• Experience with Python or Spark SQL for data processing
• Knowledge of data modeling principles and dimensional modeling
• Strong understanding of ETL design patterns and SDLC methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure Certifications (Data Engineering, Analytics, or Power Platform)
• Experience with healthcare revenue cycle management and healthcare analytics
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD practices
• Knowledge of API development and integration
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and Visual Studio Code
