Business Office Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support hospital and clinic revenue cycle processes, including claim submission, payment posting, denials, appeals, and collections
• Manage self-pay collections and resolve outstanding account balances
• Perform AR follow-up to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Research and resolve complex credit balance scenarios
• Use Cerner (Oracle) and FinThrive Clearinghouse to resolve billing issues
• Review payor contracts and reimbursement methodologies to resolve payment discrepancies

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Three or more years of accounts receivable or revenue cycle experience
• Knowledge of coding guidelines, regulations, and reimbursement methodologies
• Experience with Medicare billing, the Medicare DDE system, and self-pay collections
• Proficiency with Cerner (Oracle), Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
