Care Navigator

Responsibilities

• Being the warm, persistent point of contact for members regarding confusing bills, denials, or complex questions
• Helping members navigate the appeals process and reviewing complex cases
• Reviewing EOBs to catch errors and advocating for the member
• Coordinating between members and providers to resolve billing and coverage issues
• Helping members and providers understand prior authorization requirements
• Translating plan design and benefits into plain language
• Pointing members toward high-value, in-network care
• Flagging patterns in claims and costs to improve the plan

Requirements

• Several years in a medical-administrative or patient-facing coordination role
• Hands-on experience with claims, medical billing, and pre-authorizations
• Working familiarity with CPT and ICD coding
• Ability to coordinate across members, providers, and payers
• Warm and clear communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience on the payer or claims-administration side of health insurance
• BCPA certification
• Clinical-adjacent background
