Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first clinical point of contact for members, conducting initial screenings and intake assessments.
  • Evaluate behavioral health history, substance use, symptoms, and member goals.
  • Communicate treatment options and guide members toward the most appropriate level of care.
  • Facilitate warm transitions by connecting members with assigned counselors or coaches.
  • Maintain a small ongoing caseload providing individual counseling and monitoring progress.
  • Provide temporary member coverage during clinician leave or staffing transitions.
  • Utilize evidence-based approaches including CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and harm reduction.
  • Document member interactions thoroughly and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize member experience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of clinical experience working with individuals with substance use disorders.
  • Expertise in CBT, MI, and relapse prevention.
  • Active and unrestricted state credential (license/certification) issued via a state credentialing board.
  • Credentialing recognized by IC&RC or NAADAC (e.g., AADC, CAADC, LADC, LCSW with SUD treatment scope).
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-state licensure.
  • Experience providing SBIRT care for people with SUDs.
  • Experience in program development and quality assurance in clinical settings.
  • Experience with research, data analysis, or program evaluation.
  • Technologically proficient with experience leveraging virtual tools for care delivery.
