Carpenter

Responsibilities

• Repair, adjust and maintain doors, frames, locks, wardrobes, and built-in furniture
• Restore and refinish wooden furniture through sanding, staining, and varnishing
• Fabricate and install shelving, panels, skirting, and custom joinery items
• Maintain outdoor timber decking, pergolas, and beach furniture
• Complete work orders and guest requests via maintenance systems
• Carry out preventive maintenance on rooms and villas
• Support event set-ups, stages, and décor installations
• Repair ceiling access panels, tiles, and gypsum works
• Maintain workshop tools and machinery
• Follow Health & Safety and Dubai Civil Defence standards

Requirements

• Technical or vocational certificate in carpentry, joinery or woodwork
• 2–3 years of experience as a carpenter, preferably in a 5-star hotel or high-end fit-out
• Proficiency with woodworking machinery and finishing techniques
• Ability to take accurate measurements and read basic drawings
• Basic spoken and written English
