About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of your assigned kitchen station
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Organize and manage station inventory to minimize waste and control costs
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Collaborate with the head chef to develop menus meeting employee dietary requirements
- Monitor portion sizes and food costs to support budget objectives
- Assist in training new kitchen staff and conducting performance reviews
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or similar supervisory culinary role
- Strong culinary expertise in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene protocols
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proven ability to supervise and lead kitchen staff
- Experience in inventory management and cost control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in corporate or employee dining facilities
- Knowledge of diverse cuisines and menu planning
- Experience in the Middle Eastern culinary context or UAE food service standards
- Experience mentoring and developing junior culinary staff
