Chief Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow for the UAE entity
• Deliver month-end submissions to the London-based Finance Business Partner with variance analysis
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, revenue schedules under IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 lease entries
• Own the UAE finance compliance calendar, VAT returns, Corporate Tax support and transfer-pricing documentation
• Coordinate payroll accounting, intercompany reconciliations and FX revaluation
• Prepare statutory financial statements and act as main finance contact for external audits
• Manage accounts receivable, cash-flow forecasts and supplier payment runs

Requirements

• Strong practical knowledge of UAE accounting, VAT, Corporate Tax and statutory compliance
• Good understanding of IFRS 15 and IFRS 16
• ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, CA or equivalent qualification
• Approximately 5+ years of accounting experience including month-end close and financial reporting
• Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-currency environments
• Experience supporting or managing external audits
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Fluent English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or comparable ERP
• Contract Management, Corporate Governance or Legal Drafting certificate
