Chief Accountant

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliation
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and coordinate filings
• Manage corporate tax compliance and reporting requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities
• Prepare and process monthly payroll in compliance with labour laws
• Monitor project profitability and revenue recognition
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and variance analysis
• Lead and mentor the accounting team
• Support ERP-related finance initiatives and process automation

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
• Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA) highly preferred
• 8-12 years of progressive accounting experience
• 3-5 years in a senior or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
• Experience with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA or SAP Business One preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in IT services or consulting industry is an advantage
