About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, journal entries and reconciliations
- Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes
- Prepare and review financial statements and property-level reports
- Manage real estate leasing accounting, rental income and tenant ledgers
- Prepare budgets, cash-flow forecasts and variance analysis
- Ensure IFRS compliance and coordinate with external auditors
- Supervise junior accountants and strengthen internal controls
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field
- Minimum 10 years of accounting experience in UAE real estate development
- Expertise in property leasing and rental income recognition
- Strong end-to-end accounting and month-end/year-end close experience
- Sound knowledge of IFRS
- Experience with multiple properties and intercompany consolidation
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent
